Electrical Design of Automotive Lighting System

1. Composition of the lighting system:



The lighting system is mainly composed of combination switch, light control switch, lamps and lanterns.




2. Circuit boundary conditions:



Indicating signal to combination instrument.




3. Selection basis of various switches:



The matching of combination switch should be based on Automobile standard QC/T 218-1996




The matching of push-pull lamp switch should be based on Automobile standard QC/T 505-1999




The matching of instrument lamp switch should be based on QC/T 506-1999




The matching of warping switch should be based on QC/T 632-2000




The matching of pedal dimmer switch should be based on QC/T 219-1996




The matching of pneumatic brake light switch should be based on QC/T 20-1992




4. Design process:



The first step is to carefully analyze the requirements of GB4785 for the use of small lights, taillights, low-light lamps, high-light lamps, front and rear fog lamps.




Step 2: Determine the type and power of each bulb.




The third step is to analyze the light control circuit in the combined switch.




Step 4: Circuit design:



1) Small lamp control, small lamp and instrument lighting, display profile, tail lamp are opened or closed synchronously, using the same switch to operate, and instrument lighting due to brightness adjustment, need to add brightness adjustment knob. Small light is a necessary condition for large light and fog light to be turned on. It is often realized in the mechanical structure of the combined switch. Generally, it does not need to be realized by the circuit logic relationship.




2) Headlamp control, overtaking gear for the instantaneous switching on and off of high-light warning role, at this time not controlled by small lights.




3) Fog lamp control, rear fog lamp must be installed, front fog lamp selection, must be in the high-light, low-light or front fog lamp when turned on before fog lamp can be turned on. The rear fog lamp can be turned off independently of any other lamp.




4) Steering light control. The turning lights on the same side of the vehicle should be turned on or off synchronously and flashed synchronously. The flicker frequency of the steering lamp is 60 + 30 times per minute. When the current or subsequent steering signal lamp fails, the steering indicator lights out or flicker at another distinctly different frequency.




Step 5: Check:



Check whether there are logic errors in the connection of the circuit, and whether the connection requirements of the selected switch are consistent, check whether the control logic of the circuit meets the requirements of national laws and regulations, check whether the selection of the insurance capacity is appropriate, check whether the selection of the line diameter is appropriate, and check whether the circuit is the most concise.




5. Structural parameters of the design:



Lighting system control has positive control and negative control, which is common in negative control.
